Nording

Erik Nørding, originally trained as a machinist and engineer, began carving pipes in the 1950s. By the 1960s he was already an accomplished pipe maker and a pioneer of the Danish Freehand style. His work is distinguished by organic shapes and seamless transitions between bowl, shank, and stem. Using premium Corsican and Grecian briar, Nørding has developed a signature style over decades while also offering more affordable factory-made lines in both traditional and creative finishes. Since 1995, he has produced the annual Hunter Series pipes — inspired by his love for the outdoors.
